  • 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of whiskey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

  • Instructions

  • Cook the chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Add diced apples, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, whiskey, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook for 30 minutes.
  • Blend the mixture to desired consistency and stir in the crispy bacon bits.
  • Simmer uncovered for another 20 minutes to thicken the jam.
  • Transfer to sterilized jars and let cool to room temperature before sealing.
