Description

Discover the ultimate corned beef recipe with easy crockpot & oven methods. Perfect for any occasion, this dish guarantees tender, flavorful results!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs of corned beef brisket
  • 4 cups of beef broth
  • 2 medium onions, quartered
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 large potatoes, quartered
  • 1 medium head of cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard seed
  • 1 teaspoon of black peppercorns
  • 2 bay leaves

  • Instructions

  • Remove the corned beef from the packaging and rinse it under cold water to remove excess salt. Pat it dry with paper towels.
  • Choose to use a crockpot or an oven. If using a crockpot, set it to the desired cooking temperature (low or high).
  • Lay the rinsed corned beef at the bottom of the crockpot or in a large roasting pan. Layer the quartered onions, crushed garlic, carrots, and potatoes on top of the beef. Sprinkle the mustard seed, black peppercorns, and bay leaves over the vegetables.
  • Pour in the beef broth, ensuring the liquid mostly covers the corned beef.
  • If using a crockpot, cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. For the oven, cover the roasting pan with foil and cook at 300°F (150°C) for 3.5 to 4 hours.
  • During the last hour of cooking, add the cabbage wedges to the crockpot or roasting pan.
  • Once cooked, remove the corned beef from the pot and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  • Notes

This Best Corned Beef Recipe promises tender and flavorful results, whether cooked in a crockpot or oven. Enjoy juicy slices enveloped in flavor and tenderness that defy typical cooking methods.
