1 cup caramel sauce (for frosting)
1 cup heavy cream (for frosting)

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time until well incorporated.
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
