2 slices of sourdough bread, fresh and crispy
4 ounces of turkey breast, sliced thinly
2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
2 slices of cooked bacon, crispy and crumbled
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, softened
Fresh arugula or spinach, for a refreshing crunch (optional)
Instructions
Spread the softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Layer with turkey slices, crumbled bacon, and cheddar cheese. Top with fresh arugula and cover with the second slice, buttered side facing out.
In a preheated skillet over medium heat, place the assembled sandwich. Grill for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, then carefully flip to grill the other side.
Once both sides are golden and crispy, remove from the skillet. Let it sit for a minute, slice in half, and serve.
