  • 1 lb of diced turkey breast
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 8 oz of sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 8 oz of pasta (egg noodles or whole grain)
  • 1 tsp of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Instructions

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced turkey breast and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the turkey from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent. Then, add the sliced mushrooms and thyme, stirring until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Add the cooked turkey back into the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
