  • 1 box lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

  • Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground Italian sausage. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add the chopped onion to the pot and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the mixture and stir to combine. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
  • Slowly pour in the chicken broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Follow with the heavy cream, stirring until well combined. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Gently add the broken lasagna noodles and Italian seasoning to the pot. Stir well and allow to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
  • Remove the pot from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
