Ingredients

  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 2 fresh bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of angel food cake or sponge cake, crumbled
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

  • Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until the mixture is fluffy and holds stiff peaks.
  • Rinse and slice the strawberries and bananas, keeping the blueberries whole. Save a few slices of each fruit for garnish.
  • In serving glasses or bowls, add a layer of crumbled cake at the bottom followed by whipped cream and a layer of mixed fruits. Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, ensuring the top layer is cream garnished with reserved fruit slices and mint.
  • Refrigerate the assembled trifles for at least 20-30 minutes before serving.
