1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup of fresh blueberries
2 fresh bananas, sliced
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 cups of angel food cake or sponge cake, crumbled
Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until the mixture is fluffy and holds stiff peaks.
Rinse and slice the strawberries and bananas, keeping the blueberries whole. Save a few slices of each fruit for garnish.
In serving glasses or bowls, add a layer of crumbled cake at the bottom followed by whipped cream and a layer of mixed fruits. Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, ensuring the top layer is cream garnished with reserved fruit slices and mint.
Refrigerate the assembled trifles for at least 20-30 minutes before serving.
