  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy—approximately 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 2: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour in the vanilla extract and continue mixing until combined.
  • Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stir until just combined.
  • Step 4: Cover your mixing bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 5: In a small bowl, mix the 1 tablespoon of cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Roll chilled dough into balls and coat in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
