2 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet instant yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
3 tablespoons melted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 egg (for egg wash)
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix them well.
In a separate bowl, mix warm milk and melted butter, then add to the dry ingredients and stir until dough forms.
Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, and shape into balls.
Place the dough balls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
In a saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over low heat, add minced garlic and stir for about 1 minute.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
In the last few minutes, brush the garlic butter mixture on top of the rolls.
