2 cans (16.3 oz each) of refrigerated biscuit dough
1 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
¾ cup (1.5 sticks) of butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan with cooking spray or butter.
Open the cans of refrigerated biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
Mix the sugar and ground cinnamon in a large bowl. Toss the biscuit pieces in this mixture until coated.
Sprinkle half of the nuts in the bottom of the bundt pan, layer with half of the biscuit pieces, add the remaining nuts, and top with the rest of the biscuit pieces.
Melt the butter, stir in the vanilla extract, and pour evenly over the biscuit layers.
Bake for about 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
Whisk ½ cup of powdered sugar with a tablespoon of milk and a pinch of cinnamon for the glaze and drizzle over warm monkey bread.
