  • In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the beef pieces, seasoning them with a pinch of salt. Brown the meat for about 5 to 7 minutes until it's seared on all sides.
  • Introduce the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the sliced shiitake mushrooms, carrots, and daikon radish. Cook for another 5 minutes, letting them soften slightly.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and let it cook for 60 minutes.
  • After simmering, stir in the soy sauce and Korean red pepper flakes. Adjust seasoning to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
