  • 1 tablespoon chopped thyme
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 23 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Instructions

  • Sauté onions, celery, and garlic in butter until golden brown.
  • Combine sautéed vegetables with cubed stale bread and fresh herbs in a large bowl.
  • Gradually add broth until desired moisture is achieved.
  • Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-40 minutes.
  • Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to crisp the top.
