  • 1 lb (450 g) of Ground Beef
  • 1 large Onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves of Garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper (chopped)
  • 1 large Carrot (chopped)
  • 1 can (15 oz) of Canned Tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 can (15 oz) of Red Kidney Beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 can (15 oz) of Pinto Beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 2 tbsp of Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp of Cumin
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • 1/2 tsp of Pepper
  • 1 cup of Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp of Olive Oil

  • Instructions

  • Start by heating olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, approximately 5-6 minutes.
  • In the same skillet, add chopped onions, garlic, bell pepper, and carrot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Transfer the browned beef and sautéed vegetables to the slow cooker.
  • Pour in the diced tomatoes, red kidney beans, and pinto beans. Mix thoroughly to combine all the ingredients.
  • Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Taste and modify the seasoning.
  • Pour in the beef broth and give everything a good stir.
  • Cover and set your slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • Before serving, give your chili a good stir and add your favorite toppings.
