Ingredients
Scale
1 lb of ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
1 large egg
3 cloves of minced garlic
1/4 cup of honey
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1 tbsp of sesame oil
2 chopped green onions
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until just combined—do not overmix to keep your meatballs tender.
Using your hands, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form meatballs. Place the formed meatballs on a plate while you prepare for cooking.
Lightly grease the slow cooker with cooking spray or a drizzle of olive oil. Place the meatballs in a single layer, allowing space between them for even cooking.
In a small bowl, whisk together additional honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a splash of water. Pour this mixture over the meatballs, ensuring they are fully coated.
Set your slow cooker to low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours. The chicken thoroughly cooks and the flavors meld beautifully.
Once cooked, sprinkle freshly chopped green onions over the top before serving.
