1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
1 cup artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 cup cream cheese, softened
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 egg (for egg wash)
Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle, approximately 12 x 16 inches.
Spread the creamy spinach and artichoke mixture over the rolled-out pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Tightly roll the pastry into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.
Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled pastry into 1-inch pieces. Place these swirls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the swirls with the egg wash.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
