  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

  • Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle, approximately 12 x 16 inches.
  • Spread the creamy spinach and artichoke mixture over the rolled-out pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Tightly roll the pastry into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled pastry into 1-inch pieces. Place these swirls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the swirls with the egg wash.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
