2 slices of crusty sourdough bread

3–4 slices of beef bacon
1 medium onion, sliced thinly
2 tablespoons of butter
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat a tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt, stirring occasionally.
Cook for about 15-20 minutes, reducing heat if they begin to brown too quickly.
Cook the beef bacon until crispy, then set aside.
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
