1 lb of flank steak
4 cups of broccoli florets
4 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of minced ginger
1/3 cup of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of honey
2 teaspoons of cornstarch
1/4 cup of water
Instructions
Start by thinly slicing the flank steak against the grain.
Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and ginger. Place the sliced beef into the marinade, cover it, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later) and quickly stir-fry the beef for about 3-5 minutes until it's browned.
Once the beef is cooked, add the broccoli florets to the skillet and sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
In a separate bowl, mix the reserved marinade with cornstarch and water, stirring until smooth. Pour this mixture into the skillet, stirring continuously for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
