  • 1 cup of dry white wine
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • Instructions

  • Start by rinsing your chicken thighs under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy skin. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Once melted and bubbling, add the chicken thighs skin-side down. Sear for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden brown. Flip the chicken and sear for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside on a plate. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  • Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off.
  • Add the chicken thighs back to the skillet, skin-side up. Sprinkle fresh thyme and lemon zest over the top. Cover the skillet and transfer it to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) to bake for 45 minutes.
  • After baking, uncover the skillet and broil for an additional 5 minutes for extra crispiness. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
