Description

Savory seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar wrapped in golden biscuit dough. A handheld meal perfect for weeknights or game day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef (85/15 lean ratio)
1 can (8 count) refrigerated homestyle biscuit dough
8 cubes sharp cheddar cheese
½ cup finely diced yellow onion
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp tomato paste
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Sauté ground beef and onions in a skillet until browned
Drain excess grease from the skillet
Stir in tomato paste, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Let mixture cool slightly then divide into 8 equal portions
Unfold biscuit dough into 8 biscuits
Place 1 beef mixture portion and 1 cheese cube into each
Fold dough over filling and crimp edges to seal
Brush tops with melted butter
Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown

Notes

Use an 85% lean ground beef to balance moisture and flavor
Sharp cheddar enhances meltability
For non-messy baking, ensure beef is fully cooled/cracked before assembling
Serve warm or room temperature
