Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 8 oz of crab meat (fresh or canned)
  • 8 oz of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup of chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 8 slices of toast (French baguette or other)
  • 1 tsp of Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice

  • Instructions

  • Begin by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and patting them dry with a paper towel. Season lightly with salt and Old Bay Seasoning.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque—approximately 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, minced garlic, chopped green onions, and lemon juice. Mix until well blended.
  • Gently fold the cooled shrimp and crab meat into the cheesy mixture. Be careful not to over-mix.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the slices of your chosen bread on a baking sheet and lightly toast in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
  • Spoon generous amounts of the cheesy shrimp and crab mixture onto each toasted slice of bread.
  • Return the assembled toasts to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and slightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven, let them cool for a minute, and serve hot.
