Description
These tropical-spiced chicken wings combine mango nectar’s sweetness with habanero heat. The air fryer method creates ultra-crisp skin while the sticky glaze maintains moisture, delivering restaurant-quality spicy-sweet flavor with less oil.
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings (split flats and drumettes)
1.5 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free preferred)
1 cup pure mango nectar
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2–3 habanero peppers (minced, seeds removed for less heat)
Instructions
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels
Combine baking powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl
Toss wings until evenly coated
Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes
Arrange wings in a single layer and cook 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway
Simmer mango nectar, habanero, honey, and vinegar until reduced
Toss cooked wings in sauce until thoroughly coated
Notes
Remove habanero seeds for milder heat
Use a metal air fryer basket for even cooking
Aluminum-free baking powder produces crispier skin
Serve with fresh cilantro and lime wedges for contrast
