Ingredients
1 lb flank steak (sliced thin) – Use sirloin as a tender, leaner alternative
4 cups broccoli florets
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp minced ginger
2 minced garlic cloves
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup beef broth
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp avocado oil
Instructions
Slice beef against the grain
Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, cornstarch, and beef broth for sauce
Sear beef in avocado oil over high heat until browned
Steam broccoli until vibrant and barely tender
Add sauce to hot pan, mix with beef and broccoli to thicken
Notes
For best tenderness, let flank steak rest 10 minutes after slicing
